Mist’er Rain is pleased to offer you the opportunity to become part of our Annual Service Membership! With this membership, your irrigation and lighting systems will be serviced in a prompt, professional, and reliable manner as we have for so many customers since 1969.

With your Annual Service Membership, you will be automatically scheduled and notified for your irrigation system services as a priority over non-Annual Service Members. There is no fee to become an Annual Service Member, only a signature is required.

Description of Services

Spring Activation

Spring Activation is pressurizing and testing the sprinkler system to ensure proper operation. This includes but is not limited to checking valves, heads, piping, and verifying the sprinkler controller is working.

  • Our Mist’er Rain guarantee is that your sprinkler system will be activated on or before May 31st
  • If you have an irrigation pump, your pump will be primed, pressurized and tested at the time of activation.
  • Spring activation starts March 1st

Winterization

Winterization is removing water from the pipes, sprinkler heads, and Backflow Assembly to help prevent any damage caused by freezing temperatures. This is performed either via manual drainage or ‘blow-out’ procedure which utilizes an air compressor depending on the layout of your sprinkler system. Additionally, we turn off all appropriate irrigation water supplies.

  • Winterization starts October 1st
  • If you have an irrigation pump, your pump will be drained at the time of the winterization service.
  • Repairs will not be made at this time unless needed to complete the process of winterization. Extra charges will apply.
  • If your system requires a manual drain instead of compressed air a flat fee of $119 applies.

Backflow Certification

Backflow certification is the annual inspection, testing, certification of your backflow assembly. In addition it includes submission of results to the appropriate water purveyor.

  • $89 for 1st assembly on site
  • $49 per additional assembly on the same site
  • If assembly fails due to dirt or debris being lodged inside valves, MR will flush, clean, and retest at no additional charge. If assembly does not pass, MR will determine the reason.
  • If test can’t be performed due to broken test cock, we will replace it and charge for the part and time

Monthly System Inspections

With this option Mist’er Rain will perform monthly irrigation inspections between Spring Activation and Winterization. During these monthly inspections all zones, valves and sprinkler heads will be checked for proper operation, inspection for any leaks, and adjusting the controller to reflect the water needs of your landscape for the time of year.

  • This work will be charged a base amount for each visit plus time & materials

Low Voltage Lighting

Low Voltage Lighting service consists of testing and verifying operation of all transformers and lights each spring and fall.

  • When lights are not functioning properly, Mist’er Rain will test wiring and voltage to determine what repairs need to be made.
  • Bulbs will be replaced, fixtures generally need to be ordered and thus may not be able to be replaced during the time of service.


General Terms & Conditions

  • A base charge will be incurred for every visit for Spring Activation and any additional requested or needed services. Included in the base charge is driving to your location and the first 30 minutes on site.
  • All charges for on-site services (with the exceptions of Backflow Certification & Winterization) will be at our current time and materials rates after the base charge. Our labor is billed in increments of 15 minutes.
    • Excludes After Hours / Emergency Service Calls
  • Ferry tolls, specific water purveyor submission fees, parking fees etc. will be passed on to the customer.
  • All invoices will be subject to applicable Washington State and local taxes.
  • For non-payment of services provided, scheduling of next services will be postponed until payment is received.
  • ASM will continue unless written or emailed notification to cancel your Annual Service Membership is received by our office. We require 30 days notice from the date received of the notification.
  • Mist’er Rain reserves the right to cancel Annual Service Membership at any time for any reason.
  • All invoices are due on receipt. A 1.5% or $15 per month, whichever is greater, late fee on outstanding balance on invoices beyond 30 days, will be assessed.
  • Mist’er Rain is not responsible for the death of plants, lawn, trees, etc.
